My name is Caroline Sharkey and I am a Textile and Fibre Artist. I have always had a love
of fabrics and since childhood the colours of Fibre has held a certain magic for me.
My art is expressed through the textures of fibre and fabrics, I use many Techniques of free machine embroidery to create Australian landscapes, Flora and Fauna. Colour is the basis of my designs which capture the Australian Outback, Reefs, Rainforests and Country Way of Life. Each Piece is a uniquely handcrafted work of art.
Winning the Miniature Quilt section at Sydney’s Darling Harbour Quilt Show was a highlight of 2001, and having a quilt chosen for the annual Quilt Show in Japan early in 2002 is a great honour as only five quilts Were selected from Australia.
My husband Wayne & three sons Luke, Dean and Ben are very Supportive of my
“Artist Passions” and we look forward to meeting you at our Fibre Art Studio in the
seaside village of Urunga.
